Bali Deli recently (on Chinese New Year) announced the grand opening of their Community Park. 'This is the first green park that Seminyak has which is based on an educational theme for children as well as being the only place where you can play petanque in Seminyak', stated Mr. Alexander Jovanovic, the President Director of Bali Deli, in his opening ceremony speech. Petanque is the official name of French bowls, and is a seriously fun pastime for many expatriates.
Bali Deli Community Park is designed to be a fun but environmentally aware playground, especially focusing on children. To create this awareness, the staff have thoughtfully planted many fruit and vegetables around the park to allow the children to witness mother nature in all her glory. There are a total of 41 fruit & vegetable trees as well as spices. The education of each variety is further continued by being signposted in three languages; Bahasa Indonesia, English and Latin. Of course, all these wonderfully fresh produce may also be purchased off the shelves of Bali Deli to be enjoyed by the whole family at home.Le Spot, Bali Deli es garden restaurant, has also greatly benefited from The Park, which is found adjacent, further adding to the garden ambience. Evening time brings candles a twinkling, and romantic lighting.
The Park was funded by Bali Deli as well as some big name sponsors from around Bali, and its petanque field will play host to Bali fs first French community team. Children can while away the time on various island playground activities, that are appreciated the world over; swings, climbing frame, roundabout and seesaw. This is a reflection of what the Park is all about; community support and reciprocation.
