Izin hari ini saya review pengalaman ber-Datsun 510 1600 buatan tahun 1972.

Datsun ini “worldwide legend” dan racing partsnya bukan kaleng2 seperti Tomei juga bikin. Unit ini kami dapatkan di Surabaya, medio 2008. Empunya rada mumet nyetel platinanya ngga dapat yang pas, sebentar bopak jadi akhirnya nyerah. Walaupun, sejarahnya ini adalah mobil dinas PTP, namun satu tangan saja dipegang hingga pensiun, dan anaknya adalah kawan empunya, yang lantas dibeli sama empuinya sebelum saya.

Datang lihat bayar, mobil langsung dibawa ke Pasuruan, masuk Wawan Motor, set up platina sebentar dah enak tenaganya. Lanjut ganti warna dari kuning ke tobacco brown nya Danapaints. Selesai garapan dibawa ke Malang. Tapi karena belum pasang AC sy nyerah kalau bawa jalan darat ke Jakarta. Atas info bos Toko Riverside, kami dapat harga spesial untuk angkut pakai truk gendong KMDI/Mobaru.

Sampai Jakarta langsung masuk Riverside Rally Service dan jadi pasien yang paling sepuh. Set distributor ganti yang udah CDI, plug and play sama punya Nissan Terrano WD 21, sekalian pasang AC di Otong AC Bagus Patal Senayan sambil request blower pakai Kijang Super yang compact bentuknya sesuai sama kabin kecil 510. Karbu masih andalkan Weber DCN, Azis salah satu punggawa senior disana sebenernya punya kapabilitas seting Weber, tapi terkendala kundi2nya hilang. Bang Loqy Siregar selaku komandan Riverside sarankan bawa ke Bengkel ERC nya om Eric Lee di Jl. Mangga, Tanjung Duren.

Janjian, suatu pagi kita kesana, begitu datang om Eric langsung kelilingi ini mobil, dan bilang, kita tes dulu yuk…saya dulu ikut Jaya Bali Rally sama Amiaw pakai Datsun seperti ini. Sambil nostalgic kita keliling2 Tanjung Duren, sambil beliau ambil data riil mobil. Balik bengkel, pertama cek kompresi, rata 14 di ke 4 silinder nya. Ini mobil kudunya pakai bensin 95, dah saya setingin enak, nanti coba dulu, kalau terasa boros nanti saya setel lagi. Disitu ketahuan juga flywheel udah sunatan, porting polished juga sudah.

Selesai, kita ke kantor di area Tangerang. Sore pulang lewat tol Janger arah Taman Anggrek, saatnya tes performa setingan ERC. Akslerasi spontan dan cepat tahu2 sudah masuk kecepatan 160 kmh, dan sekejap sadar, rem belum upgrade😂😅

Satu kata, puas banget sama mobil ini. Suspensi belakang udah independen dengan gardan floating, handling enak sekali.
